We are now officially halfway through Term 4 and it's been a big one at Emmanuel!

On Tuesday, our primary students enjoyed the Friends of EAC Primary Disco with Shorty Brown the Clown leading the fun! A huge thank you to our amazing Friends team for creating such a memorable night for our students.

We also celebrated the Induction of our 2026 Secondary Student Representative Council members while our Year 6 students enjoyed a Microadventure to Broken Head Nature Reserve and our second group of Year 9 students embarked on their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Adventurous Journey.

It's been a wonderful week of reflection, celebration and connection across our community!

🎖️ Remembrance Day 2025

On Tuesday, our College community gathered to commemorate Remembrance Day, honouring the service and sacrifice of all who have served our nation in times of war, conflict and peacekeeping.

An Air Force and Navy Cadet flag party comprised of Cadet Flight Sergeant Max R, Leading Cadet Sunny G, Leading Cadet Ben D and Cadet Seaman Grace N, conducted a ceremonial lowering and raising of the Australian National Flag.

The flag was flown at half-mast from morning until 11:02am, when it was raised to full-mast to symbolise hope, peace and renewal. The ceremony was carried out in accordance with ADF parade protocols and we thank these students for helping us acknowledge this important day in such a meaningful way.

Meanwhile, our Primary and Secondary student leaders were honoured to represent Emmanuel at the Ballina RSL and RSL LifeCare services, showing respect and pride on behalf of our College community.

Our Year 9 Marine Studies students recently visited Nguthungulli (Julian Rocks) Marine Reserve, one of Australia’s most remarkable biodiversity hotspots. Partnering with Byron Bay Dive Centre and Whale Watching, students took part in Turtle School, contributing to vital citizen science through the photo identification of sea turtles. The weather was perfect, offering crystal clear conditions to observe a stunning array of marine life including moray eels, wobbegong sharks, wrasse, pufferfish, snapper and even a leopard shark spotted by one lucky student. It was an unforgettable day of hands on learning beneath the waves! ... See MoreSee Less

Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Adventurous Journey – South Passage Sailing Voyage ⛵️

Our Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award students recently completed their Adventurous Journey aboard the tall ship South Passage, sailing through the stunning waters of Moreton Bay in Queensland.

Over three days and nights, students worked together as a crew to navigate, hoist sails, take the helm and live life at sea. The voyage challenged them to step outside their comfort zones, build teamwork and resilience and experience the thrill of ocean sailing.

It was an unforgettable adventure filled with laughter, learning and spectacular sunsets — a true testament to the spirit of the Duke of Ed!

🎩🧦 Hats Off to Teachers!

Today we joined schools around the world in celebrating World Teachers’ Day here at Emmanuel Anglican College and we did it in true fun fashion! From crazy hats to silly socks, our staff and students came together to show our appreciation for the amazing educators and support teams who make our whole college a vibrant place to learn and grow. 💙

Every day, our teachers and staff go above and beyond inspiring, guiding and supporting our students in everything they do. Today’s laughter and colour were a small “hats off” to the BIG impact they make all year round.

Thank you to every member of our College community for the creativity, energy and dedication you bring both in and out of the classroom.

A big thank you to Prime Flowers for their very generous donation of asiatic lily bunches for our staff. They're beautiful! 🌼

Thank you Teachers! You are very much appreciated!

Goodli Festival Just Dropped!
Theme: If Not Me? Then Who?

What an incredible day of inspiration at the Goodli Festival! We dove deep into the question of personal action and how we can all be agents of positive change.

A huge thanks to our brilliant speakers who shared their wisdom and insights: Sonya Breckenridge, Dr Mo Mustafa, Sinem Sabban, David Warth, Taama Jones and Duku Fore. Their powerful messages, alongside the genuine voices and electrifying performances from our student contributors, reminded us of a simple truth:

Don't be overwhelmed, don't feel captured—just love living each day with generosity and compassion. This is the key and it is absolutely infectious!

Let's carry this energy forward and choose to be the change we want to see. The time for waiting is over.

If not now, when?
Thank you for joining us Bishop Druitt College and Clarence Valley Anglican School
